Lecture & Discussion: Feminism for the Modern Man

A Lecture and Discussion with Christoph May – Researcher on Masculinity, Consultant, and Lecturer

In cooperation with Feministische Gruppe Aachen, we invite you to our upcoming event:

Male-dominated cultures of violence, silence, and obstruction stand in the way of everything that could move the world forward: climate protection, diversity, intersectional feminism, social engagement, and much more. But how can we even have a critical conversation about masculinity? What privileges do men enjoy simply because they are men? Why is structural inequality in politics, business, culture, and media often invisible to them? And instead of introducing gender quotas for women, should we set limits on men to finally make them acknowledge the issue?

Today, many people are fighting for a diverse, discrimination-free, and sustainable future. They have begun to listen to women*, inter, trans, and non-binary individuals and critically examine their own roles and privileges.

Christoph May aims to support us in overcoming traditional masculinities and male networks so that our experiences, narratives, and relationships can become more diverse, engaging, and successful than ever before.

Let’s talk about patriarchal structures, power, and change—openly, honestly, and controversially. Afterwards, there will be exciting reading recommendations, as well as film and music suggestions!
